End of the line here perhaps? Img_4082.jpg 2007-02-03 16:16:30 |

Looking down towards the vehicle stil attached to the winch, just beyond where the track appears to end, there would have been a set of trap points, then about half way along before passing under bridge 53, there was a crossover allowing a connection witht he portal line which ran alongside pipe C and to join the UWR and eventually cross bridge 53 itself heading towards the Pier Railway DSC_0394.JPG 2007-11-03 14:48:40 |

Note, the track leading away from the Incline railway for pipes D and E was not definitely dug up, but with a slight amount of 'digging', it is clear the line was only covered DSC_0402.JPG 2007-11-03 15:01:04 |

I'm guessing this was a piece of cable for the Incline DSC_0404.JPG 2007-11-03 15:07:40 |

The UWR goes off to the left. The path to the right is another walking route though Leanachan Forest towards Spean Bridge, though initiall it may have been a small siding giving access to a gravel pit DSC_0443.JPG 2007-11-03 15:49:01 |
I believe this to be Bridge 51 DSC_0445.JPG 2007-11-03 15:54:26 |

Strangely, the route to the left is the one which crosses the bridge, so the railway did not follow what appears to be the 'natural' course of the route in a straight line. The track down to the right goes through a stream for which the bridge was built in the first place, so only suitable for landrovers etc. I guess what appears to be such a tight curve would not have affected a narrow gauge system DSC_0448.JPG 2007-11-03 16:02:52 |
